My Response

I liked the Plot Study project.  The study allowed me to get out into God’s creation and discover things that I had not previously even thought about looking for.  My appreciation and wonder at God’s creation increased through this investigation.  I found a careful scrutiny of the small details revealed something even bigger.  Some examples include a tiny water bug being able to float on top of the water, carefully camouflaged toads, an intricately designed spider web, and the top of a fern shaped like an equilateral triangle.  Furthermore, I also realized the vastness of the species on my plot.  When I created my producers and consumers list, I continued to find many additional organisms even after the set amount was recorded.   I learned how intricately the organisms interact with each other.  In my food web, it seemed like all the producers and consumers possessed a certain relationship with many other of the organisms.  In addition to this, I noticed just when one organism dies, another comes to life.  When a tree died and fell to the ground, fungi had the opportunity to grow and thrive.  Moreover, I discovered how continually everything changes.  In the six weeks I studied the area, the foliage turned from thick and green to beautiful colors and finally to sparse and brittle.  With the new knowledge I have obtained, I will continue to be a good steward of the environment.  I will also use my adventures in creation to worship God.  Lastly, I will continue to explore and discover God’s creation.
